That pipe going over the trans crossmember is part of the factory Y-pipe and is a single 3" after the merge. the catalyst on this truck was stolen and repaired with straight pipe when I bought the truck in Florida (no emissions testing there). I had to cut out that 'repair' and install a catalyst to pass Emissions testing in Ohio.
The stock catalyst would have been a single 3" in with a square four-bolt flange, not the rectangular stacked dual pipe flange like a 5.8L
