Hello all!

Good morning or afternoon. This is my first forum I ever joined also the first post, thanks for having me I've been reading your content and it's been helping out. A little backstory bought a 1980 F100 ranger regular cab short box 2wd last year, I didn't need it but had to have it. Since purchase got the motor freed up repaired some wiring (thank you forum) and replace starter, fired up. It runs but doesn't move more than 5 ft bad transmission. The truck was originally a straight six three-speed manual but currently has a 400 C6. I have learned a lot since owning this truck I'm going to have questions on this venture of getting this thing back on the road this is where I need your help. Last night found a guy that sold me a Sm 465 manual transmission, flywheel, crossmember and linkages out of a 82 F-350 stake body 2wd with a 460 as I would like to make this truck a manual again since the clutch pedal is already there. I pick the stuff up next week going to start pulling the transmission in June. Thank you for having me that's a little bit about this project currently trying to figure out if a 460 flywheel will fit on a 400. I'll keep everybody updated as this project goes along. Okay back to work. Have a great day
