Quick questions

I’m getting my 1998 F150 ready to sell and have a couple of questions.

How are the front turn signal covers attached. Both sides came off while washing the truck. Do they snap in, or do they have an adhesive to hold them in.

Second question…..What’s the average cost of getting a windshield replaced? A large tree limb took out the glass, while I was procrastinating about replacing the engine. I thought that I’d replace the glass before putting it up for sale. Nice truck with good paint and no rust or dents, so it needs to get back on the road. Has the desirable theft protection. (5 speed manual) I bough a F250, so I haven’t been in a rush to fix it up, but it’s time for it to go.

Thanks,
John

Sides glue on, just buy a new pair from TYC or something for about $20 shipped.

I would guess $350-450 for glass. Safelite has some deal w Wells Fargo now for 10% off. Not bad!

The lenses are glued to the rear housing on those lamps
A windshield in my 04 F150 cost 250, last month by Glasshopper
You might need bodywork or a new molding at least by the looks of that tree smash
Good luck
Is your insurance paying?

I went ahead and ordered new signals and also new headlights while I was on eBay. I’ll probably need a new rubber molding, due to age. I was amazed that there are no dents in the metal from a 6 inch limb, falling on the windshield. It knocked the trim off the radio, but no dents.

No insurance, since it wasn’t running due to the blown head gasket.
