The e-brake wiring run through the instrument cluster correct? I suspect it does and just want to confirm.
Since I've had the truck the e-brake chime/dash light will activate whenever it feels like it and to turn it off I have to depress the e-brake a bit then release and sometimes while light/chime are going off I can depress the trip reset button and while pushed in the light/chime will go off till I remove pressure then it starts up again till I cycle the pedal. I've replaced the sensor behind the kick pedal and wiring all looks good so best I can figure it's a loose wire or broken solder point in the cluster.
I'd like to try and fix this myself, but won't begin till I know what solder points I need to focus on or find a good diagram of the cluster so crossing my fingers someone here has a cluster pdf or similar type diagram.
Sorry man, wish I had something to add. I’ve had some weird things happen to my cluster like all the gauges and lights go dead for a few minutes then come back on like nothing ever happened. Hasn’t happened for a while, but still, cause for concern. The other thing is that my Edge CTS2 just shuts off randomly, like I briefly lost power to the OBD port. I’ve also had the radio shut off and start back up. In all cases everything starts working again, just annoying. One of these days I’ll pull the cluster and send it out to circuit board medics, but not during boating season!! 😎

Yeah I think I'm going to pull it out and look for bad solder points and touch up anything that looks cracked and if that don't fix the issue I'll send it in for a refurbished one and see if that does the trick. Happy boating my friend

Mine had freaky stuff going on with the cluster, including the brake indicator at incorrect times. I sent it to Circuit Board Medics and they went through it. Including replacing some of the servo motors on the dials. I thought their cost was very reasonable, and I recommend you call and speak with them about whatever issues you are seeing. See if they think they can help. Preferably before you start soldering on random stuff yourself.
