Ford 10.25 axle seal

Hi,
I'm wondering if there is a seal that goes outside of the carrier bearings, in the axle shaft. I think not, but there's silicon next to where the tube starts, so just want to make sure. There's no seal there now, but no telling what someone else may have done.
I replaced the hub seals and just pulled the carrier to clean out the tube.

Thanks again.

No seals. The axle bearings out on the end get their lubrication from the oil in the center.

If you are tearing this all apart and cleaning up the bearings or installing new, it's good practice to put some grease on the bearings like an assembly lube, to give things some lubrication till the oil can get to it.
