TRANSMISSION SWAP I NEED TO KNOW WILL IT WORK

HELLO EVERYONE IM NEW HERE, BUT I AM A SERIOUS FORD TRUCK ENTHUSIAST.
RIGHT NOW, I FIND MYSELF IN A SERIOUS PREDICAMENT AND THAT IS I HAVE A 1981 FORD F150 RANGER 5.0 V8 MOTOR THAT HAS A BAD TRANSMISSION SO ITS JUST SITTING HERE WHILE I SEARCH FOR A REPLACEMENT FOR IT. SO I WAS DRIVING MY 2000 FORD F150 V6 4,2 MOTOR LAST MONTH I WENT ON VACATION AND LEFT IT WITH MY BEST FRIEND TO USE, BAD IDEA I DONT KNOW WHAT HE DID BUT NOW THE TRUCK DONT WANT TO START HE SAID HE THINKS THE MOTOR BLEW OUT. SO NOW I HAVE 2 TRUCKS THAT DONT RUN AND I REALLY DONT WANT TO SCRAP EITHER ONE SO I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD JUST PUT THE TRANSMISSION FROM THE 2000 F150 ON THE 1981 FORD F150? AND IF NOT, COULD I USE A TRANSMISSION FROM A FORD MUSTANG BECAUSE I DO HAVE 2 OF THOSE JUST LAYING AROUND IN THE YARD. AND THE REASON I WOULD RATHER BUILT ONE TRUCK USING THE CHASSIS AND BODY OF THE 1981 FORD F150 IS BECAUSE ITS METAL BETTER DURABILITY AND LIKE THEY SAY BUILT FORD TOUGH. IF SOMEONE CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVICE ON THIS BEFORE I DECIDE TO JUST SCRAP THEM BOTH.

First, your post is really difficult to read because your caps lock seems to be stuck on.

The transmission in the 2000 truck is computer controlled. The 1981 truck does not have the computer, wiring, or sensors needed to operate the transmission. So while it may physically bolt in, it isn't going to shift.

Depending on what transmissions came from the Mustang they may or may not work. You haven't given enough information to even make a guess.

I'd be talking to your "friend" Motors don't just "blow up" He had to have done something to make it happen. I would look at the motor first before looking to swap things around. If you want to start swapping stuff, you will have to make sure it all plays nice together. Hard to do with older vs. newer stuff.
