Hello I got an 02 7.3 and my driver side front blinker works but does that super fast blinking and the driver side taillight blinker doesn’t work at alol and neither does the brake light. Passenger side everything works good. Blinker doesn’t go on when hazards are turned on either. And yes I’ve already replaced the bulb. Tried 2 new ones actually. Made sure connection was tight too at the taillight and under the bed. So now I’m lost I can work on other stuff but this electrical **** really makes me go brain dead. Kinda just putting this out here for any ideas on what to try next. Thanks. Seems odd all the other lights work.
Youll get good advice from others, forwith im sure. My first move, personally would be check fuses. I dont remember if left and right are together or seperate, then assuming those are good, take a test light, or multi meter, and check the trailer plug, or the bundle behind the bumper if you dont have the plug, and see if you have power, there, for those lights/functions. If you do, the the issue is in the rear tailight, or the 2 feet of wiring from it to the frame harness.
I will bet money it is not the flasher and the trailer plug uses differnt circuits for at least some of the functions. If the two new bulbs resulted in the same no function as the original it is either the bulb socket or wiring to it. The front flashes fast because the flasher is only feeling a partial load from the front bulb and no load from the rear. Check you socket for continuity and work back towards wiring from there.
Electricity is like us, it likes to go home. Check at the bulb socket for power and most importantly check for ground, circuit has to be complete. Flasher is fine as it functions normal on the other side.
