Hello can somebody tell me what this part is called and if you're able to buy a new one. I am unable to undo the internal clip to release it. I have tried the removal tools for Fords. Im not sure it's been removed since it was produced in 1990. This is off a 1991 Ford F150 4x4. The truck has all nylon lines except for the fuel rail and some of the line that goes to the evaporator.
You should not need that one way check valve with a new pump that has a working one way check valve built in
Might want to get it off and check it as they are worth some big money on Ebay
New ones are hundreds of dollars
Start soaking that in penetrating oil. Might take a several days of soaking. The internal lock clips might break when you do get it off, I believe you can get replacements. Make sure to spray up inside the fitting.
I was able to get mine off. I soaked it in rust remover, I soaked it multiple times with oil along with trying to remove it with the fuel clip tool. What finally worked was some lite taps with an air hammer. The air hammer helped with dislodging the valve. It did not cause any mating on the surface. I was able to get one off with the clips intact and one with some damage to the clip. I suppose I can order some new ones at sechenburg listed above. I don't know if this was the correct way to do it but, it worked.
