Hi all, need to replace my tires on my 2012 F250 SD. I currently have Cooper AT3 XLT's. I tow a 12K 5th wheel. I got about 40k miles on this set. They got real squirrelly in the rain and want to replace before my next trip out. What are you all using and getting decent thread wear out of. Thanks in advance for the feedback.
I am on track to get 75,000 out of my Cooper ST MAXX tires on my 2000 7.3L PSD. 90% or more of those miles are with the 5th wheel in tow. So far, they have been great in all terrains from forest service roads to PA roads through Harrisburg, which is worse than the roads in Iraq.
I've also had exceptional good service and performance with Coopers for the last 8 to 9 years. Only trouble I've had was a sharp piece of flint through the center of the tread and me hitting a curb on the sidewalls of 2 tires not paying attention on where I was going.
I put the optional size tires on my now gone F250CCLB The first were all season Michelin LTX. They lasted about 70K. I then put the General HTS on after the Michelin price got to about the same price per tire as a bar of gold. The Generals had about 40K on them when the truck went down the road. I actually liked the ride, wear and noise level on the Generals better. The 12,000 pound Montana had Generals as well and 30K later still looked like new. My current truck, now an F150 has OEM Goodyear's - and they are crapola just like all the others that had this OEM tire
