I have a 2015 F350 dually and my baby needs new shoes. I've got 54K on the stock tires. Is this about right for durability? The tire size is LT245/75R17. Looking for recommendations for what to replace with. I do tow a 45 foot 5th wheel as a full-time RVer if that helps.
What brand are you running now? Also do you want to go with a highway tire or all terrain?
BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A 245-75R17. I was pretty happy with these, but they weren't much for off road. 90% of time I am on-road, but would be nice to have something that won't just spin in the merest hint of mud or sand.
Yeah the rugged trails arent that effective off road, if your looking for a great riding tire and want the light off road capabilities i would go with the Nitto Terra Grappler, cant beat em

I'm in the process of putting new shoes on my 2013 DRW. I'm going with Firestone Transforce HT, I've been using them for years on my trucks. I'll be glade to see the OEM Generals in the scrap pile.
I work at a tire shop and I've found the BFG All Terrains (different tire than discussed) will not hold up to heavy loads. A friend of mine has a set on his Chevy and his tires are bald after a year or two and not too many miles (about 20k). He runs them at the recommended pressure, rotates them, and they are load range E.
For towing, you definitely need load range E (LRE) tires. I have Cooper Discoverer AT3 because the truck already had two newer ones on it. I like General Grabber AT2 though.

I'm thinking of going with Hankook DynaPro ATMs. I've read all the reviews I can find and they seem to pretty universally cite long mileage and low road noise and fairly good handling in all but snow...and I don't generally drive in any snow.
Take a look at the Cooper AT3's.
55K treadwear warranty.
I just put a set on my SRW.
I got 43K out of the factory Goodrich Rugged Trails. They were worn flat when I changed them.
Good choice with the Coopers. Just put two new ones on Wednesday.
I'll plug the Cooper AT3's too - had a set on two Suburbans, a V10 E350 and now my 06 250. Great riding tire with excellent wear. I towed an rv trailer with a 98 Suburban and the E350 and the tires were fantastic. Not sure how they would do off road as 90% of my driving is pavement.
