Hi all,
New proud owner (with bank) of 2004 F250 Sport CC with 6.0
So far so good with 2,500 miles, about 16.5 MPG and a smile ear to ear every time I drive it. The only thing I don't like at this point is the interior lights going on where ever I shut down the engine. Some times you just don't want them on. Is there a way to turn
this feature off?
I'm with you. I hate the fact that I can't kill the interior lights. The "Owner's Guide," as you probably know, says that you can move the instrument panel dimmer past the detent and prevent the interior lights from coming on. Well, the dimmer can't be moved past the detent. I like my truck but Ford needs to work on some of the little details. They need real gauges, unlike the bogus oil pressure "gauge." They should have an ammeter, and for the diesel, a pyrometer and boost gauge. I saw some traffic on the interior light subject on another board. One fellow's solution was to tap into the electrical system. Hey, I'm not doing that ...... Well, I say that now. Glad you brought up the subject. Maybe someone will have a simple answer.
