Truck seat difference????

Anyone notice the difference in the seats between a 99 and a 02 SD? I am not real fond of the 99 seats as they are tooooo soft and as I sit in the seat, it has a tendency to put pressure on my left leg because of the raised portion at the left front corner of that seat. These are 40-20-40 seats with fabric. My 02 which has the same style of seat, is a much firmer seat and doesn't seem to be as "plush" but boy it sure makes sitting along time in it MUCH more comfortable Anyone went to the trouble to try and fix this situation and if so, short of changing seats(which I won't do), what did you do to fix it?

Even though you said you weren't going to do it, I'd like to point out that the seatbelt is integrated into the '02 seats and not in the '99 seat. For those who might think about changing seats, this is a real issue.

As for fixing your complaint, about the only thing you can do is to "rebuild" the existing seat. You can remove the cover and re-shape the foam padding. Of course, when you put the cover back on, it'll sag with excess material where you removed foam.

Perhaps one of those seat cushion things (some are beaded others are material) would help?
