Grill guard fitment
I see a million threads here and elsewhere about whether grill guards work or not. But I just bought a county surplus f150 with one on it. When I open the hood, the lower edge of the grill gets pushed back about 1/2" to get past the upper bar. I'm guessing this isn't normally a problem since I can't imagine most people liking it. Or, is this a common issue that exercise just deals with?

Got a closer look underneath this evening. There's a bracket that really does a bunch of nothing attaching at the top of the bumper. I noticed that it didn't look right. Looks like the driver side of the grill guard has been hit and pushed back at the top. Loosened all the bolts attaching the grill guard to the truck on the driver side and pulled it out a smidge at the bottom and a bit more than a smidge at the top. Straightened the vent bracket and reattached it, even though all is really capable of doing is stopping the whole thing from falling Forward if I hit the brakes. (It really doesn't do anything.) Now the grill clears the top bar.
