2024 F150 Trailer Brake Controller Module
I haven't made any installation attempts yet (haven't plugged anything in yet), as I am still holding out to have Ford dealership install an OEM unit. I haven't popped the coin holder out yet however I believe there is a plug on the back that would connect to the OEM dashboard switch. I understand many aftermarket trailer brake controllers provide or sell pigtails that adapt that factory plug to the aftermarket TBC unit so it will "plug and play". I'm trying not do go aftermarket unless there's no way to do an OEM unit.
I'm sorry, but I have made assumptions that have been wrong since I bought this truck, including one that it would be easy to add the factory OEM "integrated trailer brake controller". I also assumed (but didn't verify) that there is a plug that attaches to a factory slider switch in the dash of trucks with the trailer brake controller, on the back of the coin holder. So apparently I'm not doing well with my assumptions.
Right now I'm hoping that someone who has been through this and solved the problem reads these threads and responds - (anyone out there with a 2024 2.7L STX without tow package that successfully installed an OEM integrated trailer brake controller?)

I'm assuming you also want a factory OEM Trailer Brake Controller as I do. I'm still unsuccessful and waiting to see if anyone has been successful, so I have no new info. You may be luckier since you have a 5.0L Lariat. If I were you I would check with your Ford Dealership and see if they can install one. If your truck has the "feature code "FDDAA" along with the feature codes "C2BAW" and "C1CAG", the factory kit including the controller switch and the module might work. It would work (on my truck) according to my dealership. This dealership indicates the module (part number) that would work would be RL3Z-19H332-AA if I had FDDAA.
Interestingly, the dealership here also provided an excerpt from a feature codes listing that shows FDDAA to be missing on my truck: it is listed as "LESS BRAKE CONTROL VALVE". However, parts man doesn't know if this is a mechanical or electrical part, a software patch, or whatever, and a can't find a physical part by this name. Needless to say I'm disappointed I can't find a Ford employee/contact that can explain in detail what the situation is and if I can resolve it! I hope you are successful! I will have to hold out for someone else with a dealership or other contacts that have solved this problem!

I just Installed a TBC in my new 2024 f150 XLT, following should work on 2025 also.
part number RL3Z-19H332-AA, includes dash module and new TRM. Ford install guide can be found here.
1)*BE SURE TO BACKUP ORIGINAL TRM WITH FORSCAN BEFORE SWAPPING, THIS WILL BE NEEDED TO ACTIVATE NEW TRM.
2) Was able to remove coin holder by grabbing firmly with both thumbs down in coin holes and pulling up and down till it wiggles out. wire for switch is mounted to back of coin holder, plug in and push switch module into dash.
3)find TRM under dash and replace with new one. only 2 bolts and 2 plugs, push unit up to release plastic grommet holding in-place once bolts are removed..

Once new TRM and Dash switch are installed you can activate them in Forscan.
TRM change is manual but easy if you understand the spreadsheet.
4)load backup you took in step 1 for the new TRM
5)go down to Address 791-01-02 and make note of what the 6th character is. In my case it was a 6
in the chart 6 = BQC NOT_CONSIDERED • PSCMEC ENABLE • SYNCEC PRESENT • TBMC NOT_PRESENT
We want the same setting but with TBMC NOT_PRESENT changed to TBMC PRESENT
in the chart 7 = BQC NOT_CONSIDERED • PSCMEC ENABLE • SYNCEC PRESENT • TBMC PRESENT
So in my case I change the 6th digit from 6 to 7
you will want to chose the 6th digit based on the TRM backup you created in step 1.

Once digit is changed you can write the new TRM with the updated configuration. It will throw a error, just proceed and it will correct it on its own.
6) go into the IPC easy mode and search for trailer brake, there are 3 that need enabled. trailer break control module, trailer break controller gain setting and trailer break module.
Also - to mp138: Thanks for also posting info on this! Does your truck have an optional tow package as listed on window sticker, or does it (like mine) have the hitch and connectors but no listed optional tow package?

I am going to have a brake controller put in my truck . My truck is a xl 24 with the 5.0. The brake controller was a standalone option for my truck. But for some reason, whoever ordered the truck didn’t add it. Seems to any truck that can tow more than 4,000lbs should come with a brake controller as standard equipment.
Id do it myself, but seeing I need someone to program the truck, I may as well have the dealership do it all.
