I’ve been trying to google as much as I can to find where the leak might be. There a couple posts with the same leak but, one says timing cover, the other says intake manifold.
im thinking intake manifold only because under the thermostat housing(thermostat gasket is completely dry but I’ll be doing the water pump soon anyways)
Pressure test it to be sure but it sure looks like the intake gasket is leaking the coolant
The front covers do rot out at those coolant ports to the waterpump
Your front cover looks okay

thank you, that’s what I needed to know. I rented a pressure kit and it was dripping big time, I bought everything I needed. Just working up to it, going to do valve cover gaskets aswell while I’m there I think they’re leaking too.
i heard fuel rail o rings is another good thing to replace while I’m there, do you have any other things I might as well do?
Oh, all the vids I watched showed them removing the fuel rail so I figured it was a have to situation. Well I’ve came to the conclusion I have to pull the engine anyways to fix a crack in the engine crossmember.
anyone have experience pulling one on gravel? I’ve figured I tear the whole front end down so I can use a normal cherry picker but should I lay some 3/4 ply to be able to move it back? I don’t see any movement happening in my driveway haha
also when a transmission is unhooked will she be free rolling? I’m going to chock it up to be safe obviously but I just want to ask to be sure
