In the spirit of learning things....
Would i hate myself before the end, if i tried swapping this under my e99? Looks like its all there, the question is, could i bolt the important parts down, without rebuilding half of it?
My only reason considering the 09 frame, rather than the 99 parts truck, is, if i understand what ive read on this forum correctly, that the brakes would be heavier, and the suspension/ride would be a decent amount better.
This is more to educate myself than anything else. Interestingly enough, the weight rating from ford is the exact same for the f250, f350srw and f350drw. So on paper, theres no reason to swap anything at all. My only "gain" would be the 4.10 gears, which would make towing a fully loaded trailer, a bit easier, however, i dont have it loaded all the time, so real world, i would gain nothing besides a weekend of headaches to swap anything.
Way more work than I would want to take on. Just save up and go buy a newer truck!
You probably wouldn't like my truck then. 😂 It's a 99 7.3 Zf6. Full 08 interior with 11+ cluster and full center console. 08 axles and suspension front and rear. And 08 front end. Basically a 08 superduty with 7.3 heart.

Oh I'm sure I would love it and give huge respect for all the work done to bring it up to that point.

Dang bro!
Do we have pictures or a build thread on your truck anywhere on FTE?

If not, why not?
Yea it's all documented and lots of pics in here. The swap stuff starts around page 10 or so then pics of everything as I did it. I did all the swap studd recently. Just finished it up back in December. Had it down for 2-3 months doing everything to it. Pretty much a resto. lol
