Hello,
I have a 1968 F600 I bought 7 years ago. (VIN F60DKD07141) I'm a retired Dairy farmer, I use the truck to haul about a dozen loads of corn and a few loads of hay each year. My truck has no shock absorbers, front or rear, and it appears that there has never been any shock mounts on the frame. I'm planning to replace the leaf spring bushings this summer and also to fabricate some mounting brackets and install shocks. Were shock absorbers not standard equipment on these trucks or did my truck just somehow loose them at some point during the 50 years before I bought it?
This forum is awesome! Thanks!
