As some of you know from my other threads, I have nothing but issues with my 2020 super duty, filed BBB complaint but ford said to keep dealing with my dealer.
anyway, was pulling a trailer today, and got a wrench on the screen, truck jolted and seemed sluggish, plugged in forescan connector and getting 3 codes listed below.
luckily it’s scheduled to go to the dealer on Monday anyway because the A/c isn’t working and there’s a whistling noise, (mind you I already spent 2200$ on this truck in February and had the Works pkg a few weeks ago.
anyway, hoping for some code summary, maybe some calming words too as I’ve about had it with Ford.
I appreciate the assistance @Ford Motor Company
Looks like shift solenoid B left the chat for some reason. Either it’s just faulty or it’s possible it got a little piece of trash in it. Either way, it’s probably the cause of your “jolt” you felt.
Not a difficult job to replace for your dealer. Hopefully, they get you fixed up quickly.
Good luck with your repairs.
Just a shot in the dark but has ford (or yourself) checked the rear spare tire connectors or BCM (battery control module)?
They are both notorious for causing same/similar electrical issues with codes from moisture/corrosion.
I see that you plow so even worse in the rust belt.

I haven’t checked either of those.
I do plow, but that vehicle has only ever had a plow on it twice, it’s not a fun vehicle to plow with because of the 4.30 rear axle on a regular cab.
I drove it today in the yard, it jolts pretty good and shifts from 2nd to 8th and was super sluggish, it went on a flatbed to the dealership.

That's too bad, RCLB in red is a good looking set up.
There was a transmission recall on some 2020's. Mine was outside the period but was towing my trailer and it too a bit sluggish. Started the next morning and the wrench came on and the truck would barely move. Towed to the Ford dealer and they replaced the entire transmission in 2022. First, they thought it was the PCM. Good luck! FYI new transmission no issues and is actually smoother that the original.

Luckily it’s under power train warranty still, Dealer hasn’t even looked at it yet despite being scheduled for Monday/ Tuesday.
right now, i’m just counting down on the clock, 26 more days to go, and it will be able to be considered a lemon
Welp, @Ford Motor Company denied my buyback saying that it can only be within one year of purchase in the state of Michigan, which is odd, because the states website states something different. BBB response was to keep dealing with the dealer,
Dropped of about 25 pages of service (warranty/ non warranty) service work to a lemon law attorney today, they say about 4-5 months.
truck is still in the shop, day 5. https://www.michigan.gov/consumerpro...auto/lemon-law
I figured I’d offer an update, vehicle has been in the shop for 17 days.
I spoke with the dealer today, they took a brief look at truck/ drive it around lot, (code sent to my FordPass)
they believe issue is internal, and that the truck will need a new transmission.
Ford responded to my BBB complaint stating they think I should keep dealing with dealership (no ****)
I rejected that because I’ve been dealing with the dealership since I’ve owned it, and it goes in at least once a month for one thing or another.
Dealer did offer me 27k for the truck once it’s fixed, and did say it was under warranty.
I feel your pain and I’m 1000 miles from home. Shut down the truck to get some lunch. Opened the door and running boards did not extend. Closed the door and started truck. While it fired right up, dash and entertainment screen are blank.
Let it idle for about one minute and then everything comes back on but now I have a wrench indicator on the dash. Pull codes and I have 26 codes. Next day, start truck and I have 17 codes so I copy them down again and clear codes. Check again and I still have four in the parking module.
Nothing like trying to get home with a truck loaded down with stuff and having to worry about making it back without truck going into limp mode or just shutting down.
Dealer finally got around to hoisting the truck, something about the planetary gear failure, and they can’t get the part so it’s getting a whole new transmission, good thing it’s covered under warranty…
