Chassis help
I am not up on your year trucks but my guess is the frame is from a cab chassis (CC) truck as that frame is a different width that a normal pick up and I hear the high boys are again a different width.
My 2nd guess is what ever bed was on that frame did the same thing, other than a CC truck, and was replaced with what ever they could get.
There are 2 way I can see to fix this, 1 better than the other.
Any pick up bed floor will fit that bed floor, less the sides.
I guess you have a long bed so find a cheap long bed and either replace the whole bed, unbolt and bolt down like it is.
Or cut the side off the replacement bed so left with just the floor and weld that in place.
Or get flat steel, lift that bed off place the flat steel on the frame and put that bed back on.
You need to have something under that bed floor or the sides will drop down over the wheels when the rest of the floor rust away.
You would need to do the same with the above floor replacement as it needs to go under the bad floor.
The easy thing I see is get a take off bed replacement of any year and bolt it on your frame.
Heck you may not even need to get a Ford bed as I think all makes used the same bed hold down bolt measurements but check to make sure on that.
You may find the frame & bed hold down bolts now line up?
