Headliner

How did this happen? Haha decided to tear down the old headliner and found a little surprise? No way this is supposed to look like this.

Not sure what it’s called but it’s bent. Can I just wack it back into place?

My '68 was somewhat similar, although not quite to that same extent. Regardless, someone either sat, or stood, on that roof. The roof itself will "oil can" back into shape, but that brace won't.

there's a little block of wood that attaches to that rib. They get bent up like this if you don't take that screw out. pretty common.

That bracket is not bent that bad. IMO. it could be saved.
