E4OD Hard shift

E4OD Hard shift
New to me 1994 F150 4X4 XLT shifts hard in all gears 1-2 is the worst, OBD shows no codes. Trans is full and fluid looks good other wise it runs great just the shifting issue. I need some guidance on where to start tracking this down.

Speedo works (so does the speed control) shifts are at normal RPM no rev just a very had shift. BTW it's a 351 if that makes any difference. No shift kit, it was his dads and then his, all stock.
I have found the forward tank does not register on the fuel gauge but the rear does. Something else to check.

never heard of that but I found a video showing what to do. I will check in the AM if the wife doesn't have something else for me to do.
