Been doing some work to my 7.3. Was having an issue getting any power to it. Key on or key off. Fixed it by throwing in a new starter solenoid. Now I have power but the automated system is clicking and there's nothing when I turn the key. Is there a way to remove it or reset it?
What year truck do you have? There are differences over the years, especially on the electrical side of things. More details you can give equals better advice.
Let's start with the batteries. How old are they, status of charge, etc?
Check the voltage with a multimeter at the batteries and then at the fuse block. Do they read the same? What you're describing is exactly what happens when the PCM isn't getting enough voltage. Also check the fusible links there on the passenger side inner fender area.
