I'm looking for a quality dash mat. Looking for something to wrangle the Arizona sun and dust. A friend of ours uses a leaf blower for dust. I might have to get one? I'm thinking I can just shake the mat out and throw it back in. I obviously don't wash and wax. I have better things to do. Life is too short.
Where is the collision sensor and light sensor for the headlights located? Anything else I should be aware of?
I have the limited edition custom (last one on list) from these guys: Cover Craft. It has cut outs for the sensors and fits perfect. Occasionally it will slip a little (I don't use the velcro) and cover the headlight sensor; just push it back in place. Can't help with the cleaning; I've never had to clean mine and it's black.
I had one for my '20, and I had no issues with the coverage or fit (other than having to cut out more material around the headlight/instrument lights sensor). Although it was black, it actually did reduce the heat coming through the windshield.
However, I ended up removing it, as it was an atrocious magnet for my dog's shedding hair! I reckon once the dawg gets too old to travel in the truck I'll employ it again, lol
Another option is to tint the windshield with clear UV film. Does not do much for the dust but it really helps with keeping heat out of the cab. Even in direct sunlight, you don’t feel like your getting fried going down the road.
I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to reply, much appreciated. I have a black dash and when the sun shines on it going down the road. I can feel the heat radiating. One more question, where would this be located? "forward collision warning lights on dash" I need to choose if the truck has this or not. I purchased my truck when it was a year old. It's an XLT, non premium.
Maybe that refers to the heads-up display (HUD)? I thought that premium packages (KR, e.g.) had the HUD, but that's the only thing that comes to mind. But, I'm just guessing...
I just use a costco foldable sun shade with a reflective side when I park, when folded it slides right between my seat and the center seat. I used dash mat before and the interior still gets too hot in the summer.
I have an older 19' F350 XL edition and I have been using a dash cover made by Carhart.
Gray in color and matches my interior and doesn't move at all.
Probably got it off amazon if I remember correctly.
Would difinely recommend it.

I believe on my truck the collision warning lights are a string of red led's on the dash near the defrost vents. Really bright and they reflect off the windshield. I have a lariat ultimate. The cover craft has cutouts for them.
