We forget who owns our toy. It's not the dealership's or anyone else's problem but our own. Life is about making decisions and some of them appear to be a good one but only to find out it was not. I don't think any of these RV's are a good investment. We buy them for the adventures they may bring, good or bad.
The proper way to repair the crack is to remove the siding from the bottom corner of the slide to the top and use trim pieces to cover the seams after a new piece is installed. They can also inspect the wall structure and repair as needed or maybe just add some structure to strength it.

I certainly would not disagree with that what so ever. When it got done, it would look as if someone fixed it. Possibly shown on CarFax too. Either way, it's a hit on your pride possession. You certainly would not get back what you got into the repair either. In the end, it's a sad situation. I know I would not be happy about it.

I rarely sell anything, I keep things running until someone totals it. Although, I did sell my old 5th wheel. Nothing really wrong with it, except the kids are gone and my wife wanted something new. She knows the rules, payments are not allowed and if we got the cash to do it, how can I say no? Waste of money for sure, but that is what I worked/saved hard for.

My only suggestion would be to get something in writing from the dealer, on their letterhead, showing what the situation was. Maybe the invoice or something like that so you'll have something to show a prospective buyer if you ever try to sell it.
I plan to get something in writing from them when I pick it up.

I'd be paying for that kind of repair. Would be looking at thousands to get the fiberglass repaired alone. My plan now is to leave as is and keep it awhile and see what comes out of the class action lawsuit. Maybe i'll get lucky...

As I mentioned above. I'll be keeping it for a long time. Likely the last one we'll own. It is what it is. I bought it new after it was hailed out in 2020. It's an 2018 MY. They cut $30k off the list b/c of the hail which they fully repaired. I got the factory 2 year warranty as well. So, I guess my great deal turned into a wash. Oh well, live n learn. Could have been way worse and deemed the RV useless. If all I have to do is look at a 7" crack while sitting at the lake, so be it. It won't affect the taste of my cold beer......

That is a good way to look at it. Woulda, coulda, shoulda, there are so many things in life we would do differently if we could do it again. A nice cold beer make you think most problems are really, not that bad.
