IAC Question

94 F150 5.8L V8 E4OD

Should I expect an idle response when unplugging the IAC when the engine is warm? My understanding is that with the IAC unplugged, the idle should drop to nearly stalling rpms. I do experience this when the engine is cool, but as soon as the engine warms up to temp and I unplug the IAC - I get no idle response. Thanks for any input.

Yes it should drop to about 500 RPM. I expect some PO has jacked up the base idle screw on your TB.

If that were the case - wouldn't I still experience that when the engine is cold? Prior to warming up, the idle does drop to 500is RPMs when unplugged. When warm the idle has no response to unplugging the IAC
