76 F600 VIN decode
Looking for a door tag VIN decode on this old firetruck. Searched other forums and didn't see anything about the M transmission tag

E = 361 2V or 4V XD FT gas V8 (Shop manual for '76 says 361 4V HD)
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
B75757 = 1976 numerical series, March 1976 production
176 = 176 inch wheelbase
M = Wimbledon White
F660 = F600 gas, 4x4, 21,700 lbs GVWR
AA8
AA = Black leather grain HD vinyl
8 = Regular cab
M = Clark model 285V five speed direct transmission
53J
53 = Rockwell (Timken) model H-170 single speed rear axle, 17,500 lbs capacity, 6.14 ratio
J = Ford 5,000 lb capacity front axle, with power steering. (neither MPC or shop manual give ratio--you'll have to check the axle itself for model number etc)
21700 = 21,700 lbs GVWR
