Trailer TPMS installation

Got the trailer tpms option with my 2024 limited. I have a 40' 5th wheel. From the front compartment to the wheels is probably 15'. I'd like to mount the trailer tpms receiver in the front compartment?

I'm looking for feedback on whats worked for others?

I have the TST 507 system and with the repeater mounted in the front storage area I have never had the signal drop off. My trailer is a bit smaller but I'd think you will be fine.

I mounted the sensor on the frame of my 32 footer fiver, specifically on the I-Beam on the front end of the driver's side. I figured there would be less interference there than there would be in the front storage compartment, but that might work too. I've never had any issues with mine. One thing to remember is that you won't get a true reading in the truck until you've driven a mile or two. Also, when you're letting air out to train the sensors, have a compressor handy to put air back in because you might have to dump quite a bit before the horn honks.

How I routed the cables for PTBA, Camera, and TPMS

Go for it. The sensors have no problem reaching to the front storage. I have a 43' 5th wheel, thats where I mounted mine. The signal is so strong from the TST repeater that I can read the tire pressures in the garage 100'+ away.

Mine is mounted on the king pin housing on our 41' 5er. No issues.

Thanks All, Looks like I'll be mounting the YAW and TPMS reciever in the front storage. I appreciate the feedback. I also saw a video on the Nicols website about an easy way to fish the wiring harness from the pinbox inside the 5th body to the front compartment.
