I'm in the process of shopping for an F-350 Lariat Tremor 6.7. Been waiting to see if Ford decides to offer any kind of deals on Super Duties before I make a purchase. My dealer now has about 57 SD's on their lot and several pre sold units potential owners have passed on.
I'm in no hurry and all the SD's within 100 miles of me is missing a few options I'm looking for. Last 4-5 SD's I purchased, I had to order as dealers here hate Cab lights and Power running boards...lol. They prefer the 2x6's mounted to the side of their trucks. No offense I just don't prefer them. Finding a F-350 Tremor with these options would be like finding a needle in a hay stack around here.
With dealers now getting more SD's than they can sell, I figured Ford might start to get a little more competitive. I can currently purchase at XPLAN and was basically just waiting to see if they would start offering some rebates. My last PCO expired in Jan and no luck there with a new one. I did find an offer of $1,500 on an "aged inventory" unit.
In theory, if Ford Marketing is offering some PCO's to select potential customers, that's $2-3K in depreciation you just absorbed if you didn't receive one.
I haven't seen much in the way of rebates/incentives, yet. Just the usual military, student, first responder incentives. That's a pretty healthy aged inventory rebate, it applied to the Super Duty?
The F350 I put just a deposit on is a 10/23 build and has $2500 Aged Inventory Incentive along with $3885 Dealer Discount
Its not a Tremor though
I've noticed dealer discounts were becoming more common again starting several months back. I didn't know that Ford was being so aggressive with their aged inventory rebate, $2500 is big. Back when I was in the market 2018/19, aged inventory got $500 off, $750 was about as high as I remember. Come to think of it, the combined total of public rebates on my in stock SD totaled $2500, that included finance rebate, aged inventory and customer cash.
My truck should be arriving around the end of May. I've been visiting Ford websites, building and pricing various models and researching features almost daily to see if i can generate something but no luck. I think the only way folks are getting PCO's (ECO"s) is by email, not sure about snail mail. I figure since my email is tied to my order there's no way Ford is going to give any extra off my X plan order. I'll keep trying but not a lot of hope for one. Maybe by the end of May they'll offer some incentives besides the random PCO's.

It was at $1500 when I put the deposit on it. Then while waiting for my financing to clear it went to $2500 which is nice.
With my additional $2000 PCO I’ll be saving over $8500
For the uninitiated like me, what is "PCO" and "ECO"?
Also, what is the holdback percentage running these days?
They are the same thing, direct to consumer offers. PCO and ECO are just abbreviations for their marketing titles, Private Cash Offer (PCO), Exclusive Cash Offer (ECO). A forum or Google search for Ford PCO will turn up many threads and posts about it. Here is a good one that applies to the direct offers, no matter what Ford is calling them. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1630554-guide-to-getting-pcos.html
Not sure what holdback is currently, I heard rumor that it had been lowered but only a dealer would know. I think it was around 2.5% on these trucks.

I haven't bought a new Ford truck since 2006, so please excuse the boneheaded question. If I remember correctly, holdback is a percentage of MSRP, correct?
Hold back was lowered to 3% a couple of years ago, so dealers are making less profit on the sale. The only trucks I've seen so far with aged inventory rebate are 2023 in a F-350 Supercab XLT 6.7.
My dealer has 2 Platinum Tremors with the standard Tremor boards. Makes no sense as a Platinum comes with power running boards, however selecting the Tremor package defaults the running boards to the Tremor boards. When ordering you have to select Power running boards to include them in your order (no charge). They should give you a credit, as basically you're paying for running boards twice.

Nothing has come from Ford that I have seen. Dealers maybe giving discounts. But were still at an "inflated MSRP" and heres your discount state.

Except for the aggressive aged inventory rebate that you mentioned. I'm still surprised by that amount. I could understand if the lots were saturated with in stock units that aren't moving, but I'm not aware of that being the case.
My dealer back in Jan had no inventory, except for pre sold units and now they have almost 60 on the lot with more on the way. Lot's of folks backing out of orders as some of the "Green Window stickers - custom orders" are now available for sale. I have seen some strange builds like an F-350 with no fifth wheel prep? That should be standard on all DRW trucks like it is with an F-450. Even if you have no use for it, it would be a great option for resale later on.
I'm thinking we might see an interest rate offer or a small incentive in May on certain trim levels. Who knows?
