shift kit for 86 manual trans
I have an 86 bronco with a clark 4 speed (3speed with overdrive), does anyone know if I can get a shift kit for it to shorten up the travel between gears? any help will be much appreciated thanks!

Ok i may be wrong, and probably am. There shouldnt be any reason for a shift kit in a manual. Just tach it out longer push in the clutch slam it in gear and pop the clutch, viola a shift kit. In an automatic (and correct me if im wrong) but it revs up the motor longer and shifts hard at a higher RPM. But IMO no point in a shift kit in a manual tranny, plus i dont even know if they make one for a manual.

Also a high quality clutch like centerforce would help as well. but contact B&M or Hurst they may have a short throw shifter for that tranny but I dont believe the clark was a common tranny?

Just bash on that tranny for about two weeks and then you will have a chance to get a different one.
No offense, but those trannies are really weak.
P.S. Shift kits keep autos from being in two gears at one time. (that is how they shift smoothly)
