Get those
Get the EVTM too

I have a 1996 F250 4x4 with the 5.8, zf5 and dana 50 as well.

I saw this socket for the spindle on Amazon, it looks like there are some good product reviews on here about this socket being used on the dana 50.

Transmission cooler lines

i need to replace my transmission cooler lines but i'm having a hard time finding the upper line. Any suggestions? I read somewhere on this forum that someone suggested just blocking the lines off. This truck is just a farm truck and will not be hauling heavy loads any distance at all. Is that advisable? What is the best way to do that? Thanks fellas.

Do not block the lines off
Repair them if you cannot find a new one
AutoZone has transmission cooler line in both sizes.
Just replace the leaking rubber sections and use bulk 3/8 metal fuel line for the metal sections
We used to have to fabricate them from bulk tubing the hard way

Measure the lines, they should be 5/16.

I believe Inlinetube has them now. Stainless steel.

If making your own, NiCopp / nickel copper tubing is very easy to work with.

if you desire to upgrade to 3/8 for better flow, heres the part number for the fitting (vital you have the check ball)

Just take an open end wrench and check the size
