Mustang or Cop Car

When the swaps are made to a F100 truck do they keep the car rims/wheels . Are car rims strong enough

I wonder if a 1969 front disc brake conversion will fit a 1971 F100

On the wheels it depends because the CV wheel pattern is different than the rear wheel truck pattern.
Also I think the tracks are different between the CV front and truck rear.
Some swap a full CV frame under the cab & bed from the truck and use the CV wheels or after market with the CV pattern.
Or they swap in a 8.8 rear axle that has the CV pattern and use the CV wheels or after market with the CV pattern.
As for strong when the CV suspension or full frame is used the truck will not be used as a truck it is a cruiser.
But I dont see any issues running the CV steel wheels as they are strong enough for that heavy CV car.
If you want to haul stuff in the bed keep the trucks suspension and save your money.

if you're considering it, it might be worth looking at the QA1 kit... its not cheap, but likely not too much different than what you'd be all in one a crown vic swap and you can keep your 5 on 5.5 wheel pattern
Are you going to do a front suspension swap or just a brake update?
The Mustang II kits can be ordered with whatever pattern and brake you want. They are not salvaged items, they are purpose made kits based on the MII design.
