I am installing a trailer brake controller on my 1981 l900.I want to do a good safe wiring job ,I don't want to cut and splice into the current brake light harness if I don't have to .dose any body make a dual open circuit brake light switch for older trucks .I don't want the brake lights or trailer brakes not to work because a wire came loose .
I cant remember what I used on my 81 F100 maybe a 3M wire tap block?
I know some dont like to use them but they have their place.
It is inside so weather will not hurt it like if used outside out back for running lights .
I have never had a brake light wire come off / loose on anything with or with out a trailer brake setup.
Heck the brake light switch can stop working before a wire comes off
