I was hoping to get the build sheet with the vin but not without paying for it I guess. I measured the rear tube and it is 3.5 and it has 10 bolts on the cover....seems all Dana's do. I went to the door sticker and got into a site that gave me what it was by code.....F2.....nothing else. Listed for an F-350. Looked at the spring code....V4K......lists a 5310 spring for an Econoline....no mention of which one or specs. And 4 and K are listed as for an(4) F-250 and (K) is Econoline, F-150, Ranger. I don't think the 9 leaf rears springs in this thing go under any of the above except the generic Econoline.
Can any one get some info from this? Vin # is 1FDKE30M6NHB48981
Much appreciate any help. The rear leaf springs are 9 leafs and bent in a reverse arc.
Have you contacted Horton to see if they can shed any light on this for you?
How is this vehicle configured at this point? A full ambulance or something closer to a cab-chassis vehicle only? What is your end use or configuration to be? (More curious than anything TBH.)
Since it is an econoline it is a Dana rear axle. Use the bom # from the axle and search it on the dana Spicer site. Likely if it's a e350 dually it's a dana 70hd. If it's a e450 it could be a dana 80.
There are a bunch of Dana axle identification charts on google
I agree, it's probably a 70 in your E350
The incomplete vehicle manufacture ones sometimes have heavier axles in them
There are subtle differences in the cover plates and bolt patterns that can tell you
Have fun
