Wix Oil Filter 51006.

I have to be honest but I dont understand how the filtration in the canister works!!! The Wix Oil Filter 51006 came with two rubber gaskets. I thought it just was for different canisters. One of the gasket fits perfectly in the top. My old filter also have small rubber seals attached in the center of the filter in both ends but my new Wix filter does not. Why? Is it because it's on the "low pressure side"? Thanks!!! Mats Nilsson, Sweden

The rubber seals are simply a different manufacturing design. The one gasket that fits into perfectly into the channel on the canister lid is the one you use in this application.
