Coincidence or did I fix something without trying?

I'd been getting two soft codes, "turbo boost pressure fault - low", and an "exhaust back pressure sensor circuit". Was getting up to about 30 psi at WOT and truck drove fine so was kind of ignoring them, then I got a "fuel pump secondary circuit - high" soft code as well, which made me nervous, so I put a new Bosch pump in.

Decided to also replace the 4" exhaust from turbo down as the original was rotting out over the rear axle.

After I replaced those two items, cleared codes and none of those three have come back.

Any ideas why the two turbo codes would not come back? I'd erased them multiple times before and they always came right back. I'd think a weak pump wouldn't have anything to do with the turbo codes, downpipe maybe, but it doesn't make sense to me. Or, is it just a coincidence?

Just a matter of curiosity at this point....

You were hitting 30 psi of boost but throwing a low boost code? That sounds like a problem in the hose between the MAP and the spyder. I'd need to know the specific EBPS code to have any kind of clue as to it's cause. The fuel pump secondary circuit high I believe gets thrown when the PCM sees voltage to the pump when it didn't trigger it. More than likely the pump is fine but could have a wiring short that triggered the code. Now why did they all go away when you replaced the pump and exhaust... Could be dumb luck, could be they were phantoms to begin with. Did you have a shop do any of the exhaust work? Maybe a tech found a wonky connection some where and just fixed it without bothering to say anything, or maybe it's just the lull before the storm.(Que the screeching organ sound)

Few other codes in there as well...

I did the exhaust myself.

I replaced the turbo last summer with a deleted pedestal, put the EBPS fooler in. I'd been planning on doing some more investigating on the turbo codes, but the lack of driveability problems wasn't motivating me much.

Forgot to mention I put airbags and sway bar bushings in too, maybe that's what fixed the codes.....

I'm guessing they are electrical problems and me rooting around in there "fixed" them, for the moment. Kind of like progress I guess.

The new fuel pump did perk the truck up a good bit. More responsive now.

The p0471 is for the exhaust sensor, what you deleted was the exhaust back pressure 'valve', The sensor is bolted to the front cover just below the hpop gear cover plate. It has the metal tube the goes to the passenger exhaust manifold.
