power locks

All I know is that they both quit working at the exact same time. The relay is clicking and both locks are trying to move but they just can't seem to make it. Oh well i'll dig into it when I get some spare time and let you know what I find

This is a common problem. I know others whose truck exibits the same problems. I took one apart. The actuators have a small motor in them, the motor seems to get weak and it can not turn a bunch of gears and levers in the actuator. I know it seems strange that you would have problems with more than one at a time. It would seem they would fail in different intervals? Mine all failed around the same time. My truck is a 99. The actuators I replaced them with were slightly different. Maybe FORD figured out something. The new ones work and I have had no problems since. I replaced 3 of them.
