Fuel tank question
i got my pawpaws old 1974 ford f350 custom pull behind wrecker
the fuel tank is bad same with all leading parts but i was wondering where i would get a fuel tank for it the only ones that shows in under the bed ones but the tank thats in it is one thats behind the bench seat so i found one for a 72 ford f250 idk if that one would work or not if anyone got a good place to find one or if i have to fabricate one to fit a different tank somewhere
also the engine thats in it is a 360 i think i couldnt fine the vin with the windshield being covered in moss anyway i was wondering if it would be better to rebuild the engine and the manual transmission in it or get a different engine and trans
here some pics on the truck it needs aton of work i know lol but its a fun project to me

yea i was planning on keeping the stick shift ill check for the the door tag is where i found that its a 1974 i might be able to find the title somewhere and get the vin off of it i just gotta find it lol
And this is where the vins are stamped on a 2wd. The red box is for 4wd. The one under the cab is HARD to see/access. 2wd inline with the alternator on top of the frame, passenger side. I would find the title before I did any thing else. Other wise follow your states DMV regs about who can request a lost title. Normally its the last person to have it titled in THEIR name. Meaning Paw Paw has to do it. If he is passed away (hope not) and you have a death cert, the surviving spouse can sign for him. Just call and ask and then follow your state DMV regs.
And yea then make the 360 a 390 and hammer down. I am not sure is a 72 cab tank will fit in a 73-76, but it might.

I appreciate all this information the truck has been parked for awhile and the only two stickers ive seen was this one on the driver side door thats hard to read the trucks been sitting for years so its rusted around alot
the other sticker was on the valve cover on the drive side but its one of them odd years car kinda things maybe 🤷♂️ im trying to get it back up if possible to me its a good way to learn the sight if working on cars since thats what i wanna do and it was my paw paws
Then turn right and look at the B pillar, that is the back edge of the cab that has the door striker (latch like bolt) sticking out. See a white sticker like the pic I posted earlier below it? I think the sticker you posted is a Ford OEM rebuild of some sort? Has E ? ? 438 for the vehicle ID.
