I might be selling my dad's truck, he died last week after almost 91 years.
97 f250 XLT, long bed, 4x4, automatic, 201,500 miles pretty much stock, 6637 air filter and dp chip (I put the chip in it and my father would no use it, it stayed in stock)
no rust, right side of bed has damage and the left front fender has some damage.
my mom wants a small truck like a ranger or dakota and I really don't need 3, 97 powerstrokes.
it needs a bath and detailed, it hasn't been used much in the last 5 years.
I have driven it about 100 miles this week and will continue to drive it to make sure everything is working on it.
My condolences on your Dad. I'm going to follow this thread cause I'm sort of in the same position. Dad passed away a year ago February 14th. His truck almost the same as yours, although the interior isn't in as good condition and it won't start. (See thread I just posted).
I've been wondering about what the value of Dad's truck might be also.

Truck wise, detail it for sure. Make sure radio works. Look for a squished box deal on Amazon for those Husky direct fit floor liners as they fit well and look better. Swap the busted sight lamp and head light, trivial things make vehicles look poor. The bed dent is not a biggie and the LF fender too, at least to me. Grab a Carfax and Autocheck to help the sale, PM me I have a guy that does them for chump money. Find any and all maintenance records for it too.
Yours from AZ is a plus as no rust and the paint still looks nice. I sure love red interiors too!
