I’m having the same issue with my 2024 PSD with 3500 miles on it. Doesn’t matter cold or warmed up it does it pretty consistently under light acceleration. Not sure if it’s worth my time taking to the dealership or if they could even do anything about it but it is annoying.
i read this on FB 2 to 3 weeks ago, put the truck in neutral for 30 seconds before leaving, when i get in my truck i put it in neutral (truck has been idling for about 10 to 15 min.), set the e brake, get my seat belt on screw around for 30 seconds, for me it has completely eliminated the 3 to 4 gear surge or lunge
Add mine to the list. 2017 f350 drw with 56k miles hesitating when going from 3-4. I did the PCM recall last week and really noticed the delay after that. I went back to dealer and we rode around. It got a little better and at times when not heavy on the pedal the shift is normal. The dealer said drive it and see if the relearn will help. The problem is when towing you cannot be light footed. Does anybody know of the fix? My ESP runs out the end of this month. I did read about a TSB above so will research a little.
I have the '24 HO PSD and it does it from time to time. Not often. Generally under very light acceleration. Hard acceleration has never caused it, that I've experienced. Only 4k on the truck so far. Just wanted to throw some more data out there, since nobody has mentioned it happens on their power strokes. I should also mention that I have mostly experienced it on the 3-4 shift, but I believe it's happened on other low shifts, like 4-5 as well. I've just been chalking it up to the transmission learning so far. It is pretty occasional for me.
I have a 24 HO PSD as well. Same issue, under light acceleration around 30 MPH, doesn't shift to 4th.
There are a hundred of these transmission threads, and 95% of the time the owner has no idea if the transmission service has ever been done. Start there.
If a fresh filter and fluid doesn't resolve it, then go to post #4 in this thread because the 2017s did have some trucks with valve body issues. I think there was a TSB for it.
This.
My 22 (13k miles) will does all kinds of weird stuff; flare shift 1-3, and especially 3-5, sometimes it is a hard shift. The dealer says nothing is wrong.😵💫 I am going to try to clear the adaptive learning tables thru forscan and see if that helps.

I have found driving with a little more pedal authority definitely helps mine.
Thanks for the link, yeah agree on the tuning. Now I just decide to do it now or wait for power train warranty to run out. I’ll probably wait, but I saved the website.
