Ford now makes a 10r80 controller. I was more interested to know if you ever mounted the 10r80 to the Godzilla. I think the 10r80 has a 2 bolt starter.
I never actually mated mine together. I have a brand new 10R80 I was going to use but at the time Mars was the only one I knew making a 7.3L/10R80 so combo I never used it.
Knowing there is now a stand alone controller will definitely help the sale of my 10R80 I need to get rid of now.
If you need any measurements or pictures of the 10R80, let me know.
Today I had what I consider a huge win! I put the chassis on my alignment rack to check primarily thrust angle since cutting the frame and adding all the suspension to find out it is 0.00° which is just absolutely amazing. A lot of prep and measurements went into making sure it was as close as possible, but I never would’ve dreamed of it being as close.
The thrust angle is great!
Uh, but the toe angle at one end on that screen is a little out of whack! :-)
Just kidding. Nice job overall. Not surprising you nailed it.

Thank you. All other alignment points are easily addressed with the OEM systems (Mustang rear and Crown Vic front) however the thrust angle is an overlooked point on a lot of full chassis builds. I was looking that the chassis was square and just correct. The nervousness my OCD had on it being straight was crazy.
Finally got some more time to spend on my project and got a few big steps forward. Finished up a full 3” stainless exhaust using Magnaflow mufflers, flex couplings, and all held together with v-band clamps for easy removal (and looks haha). Decided to try my hand at making an x-pipe for the first time as well and very happy I was able to have to room to do so. Since the driveshaft will be “fixed” by using IRS, there is no travel issues of it ever hitting. I snuck the exhaust under the rear subframe as OEM does on the Mustang to also help with ground clearance.
Also finished the full fuel system using -3AN fittings and PTFE line in case I decided to tune it for ethanol in the future. Sure would be a nice way to get this engine into the 700HP+ range
Driveshaft was also made by a local shop using a MASSIVE 1480 u-joint on the 10R140 side and a 1410 on the Mustang IRS 8,8
I did start it up and was wildly pleased with the sound, a perfect rumble at cold start and then it quiets down to where you can really hear the BTR cam thumping!!
Next up is brake line plumbing and cooling system
