Believe me, we felt it in central jersey, epicenter was about 30 miles from us. I checked my garage camera, the car on jack stands on the lift didn't move but you could see a bottle of windshield washer fluid and it swished back and forth a few times. Wife said she could see the water moving back and forth under the pool cover.
There was a 5.8 earthquake in Mineral Va in 2011. At that time I was living about 30 miles away. Estimated to be 5.0 by the time it reached me. It damaged the Washington Monument about 70 miles away.
