I recently acquired my 1973 F100 with 302 and I found these wires broken in the engine compartment behind where the windshield washer tank should be. Any idea what these could be?
Have you traced the remnants paths yet? Is the washer tank and pump gone? What happened to those wires I wonder, almost look like melted. Anything not working?

I'm waiting for a wiring diagram I ordered to show up. I haven't had a chance to fully trace the wires yet, I've been chasing other issues. Fuel gauge is not working. Speedometer was not working, but that turned out to be a disconnected cable...
Washer tank and pump are sitting in a box at the moment. Previous owner stated it didn't work, it's on my list to investigate.
my duraspark wires looked different. there were only 2 wires that went to the harness, and it was clearly going to the box on the DS inner fender.
I'm guessing a sender wire, either water temp or oil pressure.
trace out the other side of the harness and see where it takes you.
Usually on a 77-79 that square 4 pin connector is for the front lights. And normally the square plug (one on each side) is just back from the core support a bit. And yes on a 77-79 that is the area the wiring for the Durapsark II comes out of.
