Back when I had my CP4 failure, my Dad had been taken to the heart hospital for his ongoing issues with congestive heart failure, and a number of members commented their support for him, myself and our family, and his condition and treatment.
So, I thought I would put this here, moderators move it if you must.
Last night, Easter Sunday, my Dad couldn't keep up the fight any more, and congestive heart failure took him from us.
Me, my sister and his wife were at his side when he passed.
Thanks to all who wished him well and prayed for him.
His pain is now gone.
So, when we had the cemetery service at the DFW national cemetery, they gave me Dad's burial flag.
So, I searched around for a nice display case, found one on amazon that I thought looked really good, solid wood with a mahogany finish and a real glass front, made in the USA.
Then I had a custom plaque made for it, and just now got everything together and I think it looks very good.
Praying for you and your family, Curtis. I do remember you having to deal with that when you had truck issues on a haul. My sincere condolences for you all. 🙏
Condolences on your loss. I lost mine two years ago, due to major health issues as well. Passed in his sleep, quietly. Didn't make it any easier on the family, but he wasn't suffering any longer and found his peace.
