I cannot find in the MASTER PARTS CATALOG ILLUSTRATION edition , Final Issue a diagram showing the Horn ring & related parts for a 1970 F-100 manual steering/brakes
I need part numbers for rubber insulator , emblem plate , emblem backing plate , etc ...etc...etc...

I found this kit . I do not need the horn ring is why I did not buy it & plus it is $92.00
I just found the rubber insulator @ Carpenters. I just bought a trashed horn button that has the solid plate with the 3 holes in it . I have a plastic ring retainer , I do have screws but may not be the correct ones . I MAY NEED the other plate shown that is oddly shaped , because I think those are different on different horns .
It is so WILD finding out ALL the different ways the different parts/numbers have changed from 1950's to early eighties !!! The different combinations of what will swap from cars & trucks & Broncos , vans..........years ....etc...etc......Also the parts numbers change randomly for the same part !!!
I just found out FORD made a ring painted Argent . I found that out when I bought a ring thinking it was dingy chrome & cleaned & cleaned it until I realized it was PAINT........!
I ACTUALLY LIKE IT . Luckily it is in excellent shape after I rubbed it to death with a scotch brite pad . The paint is amazing because how I kept from scratching it is beyond me because scotch brite pads do scratch paint .
Paint actually SHINES..........I like chrome better but for the price it is great for now , just have to get a matching button , which I refer to in a current thread !!!
So if you r keeping up , I still need maybe the funky looking plate ...........I do not know if that plate is for an emblem or a horn button...........It is always...........sumpn' !!! ha.............
Also does this horn shown use a HORN BUTTON ???
I just now realized I think NOW it uses a emblem , no button !!!
I do not know which rings use buttons & which do not !!!!!!!
