My truck has a 4 pin connecter under the truck. I can not find the correct wiring harness to replace this current harness. Are all of these trucks like this? I have 2 trucks and they both have this connector. Is there something I am missing? Does my truck still have the factory towing package? Is it aftermarket? I would like to replace my 7 pin connector without splicing wires.
I got that round 4 pin connector from Amazon. I'll attach a link to it in a moment fr my tablet.
I came up empty. I wired my personal e350 that didn't have the tow package. I found purchase history for everything except that one plug. After rereading your post you can replace the round 7 pin plug using one of these replacements.
Here you go.....
You may need to fine tune the search but I bet this is what you want. It plugs into the plug on the driver side frame above the spare tire.
Oddly enough my E99 didn't have the RV plug either. I sourced a harness from a slavage yard. It plugs in and replaced the current 4 pin . The harness unplugs/plugs in along the drivers side frame about 2ft from the back. I had to drop my spare tire to make the access easier. You will have to make or if you can, remove the plug bracket from the source vehicle. I got lucky and mine had it attached. Not sure if it bolted into place or riveted from factory where it mounts to the truck
