every year i need to remove the heater blower fan and vacuum out a mouse nest!!!!! how are they getting in there??? the air comes thru the cowl and the holes are too small then the fan forces it thru the heater core. where do i need to put some screen wire or something??? 1995 F150 reg cab
I started using dryer sheets about 20 yrs ago, haven’t had a problem since. Even parked in barns.
The bonus is, the cab smells fresh and clean when you get back in it 6 months later.. just make note of where you put them so they don’t get pulled into the engine etc. I stuff them all over, inside, and under everywhere..
I’ve found that lights help keep rodents away. I put rope lights under my truck when I was working on getting it running. I never had rodents get into it.
But I did have evidence of one after I stopped using lights and started driving it, but never any nests.
I put this stuff in my 76 F150 and it's been sitting outside with the front end pulled off for 3 to 4 years. Seems to be working because I haven't had any rodent issues. I put all 10 throughout the cab but I will warn you it smells OK but not the greatest.
