Hello
my 2022 F250 Diesel has 35,000 miles and need to decide about purchasing an extended warranty or not.
Does anyone know for sure if the CP4 is covered under the included 100,000 mile warranty?
I can fix just about anything automotive but I’m more concerned about breakdowns while pulling the 5th wheel around.
If the fuel system and pump is covered then I can wait on that.
plus we don’t get any discount here in Florida so the warranty is expensive.
Yes, the base engine warranty covers the CP4 and engine fuel system.
As to warranty discounts, you don't have to buy the extended warranty locally, so check around for best price.
I have the diesel care warranty, and had my CP4 replaced under that warranty at about 115K miles, even paid for my motel and rental car.

If you want to get the extended warranty, you can shop around online - it's a Ford corporate extended warranty so ANY Ford dealer can sell it to you at their price, it doesn't have to be your local dealer.
Same was true of the Mopar MaxxCare warranties - we made the mistake of buying one on my wife's old Durango at the purchasing dealer - set me back $4k. When I bought the one for my old 'Wagon, I was able to get it for just under $3k by finding an ad, calling a different dealer, and buying it over the phone.
You just missed a great deal from Granger Ford, at cost.
Pretty sure that deal was only $50 less than their regular deal. They were selling "at cost" instead of their usual $50 over cost.
Anyway, the only way a Florida resident (like the OP) can get a discounted rate from Granger or any other seller, is by using an out of state address.
