BEST Throttle Cable for EFI?

I am needing a Throttle Cable for my 91 F150, 5.0, EFI. The OEM Ford part is # E9TZ9A758L and I can't find it anywhere. I hate to get an After market but if so, I wish to get the best one available. Any suggestions on brand? Thanks, Jon.

If you can't find one at a dealership, rockauto is a good start. And I doubt at this time you will find a Motorcraft or factory ford cable. Your best bet is probably an aftermarket one.

I used one from LMC Truck on the Bronco. That was many years ago so I cannot say how they are now.

I just bought a cable, and made a spacer to hold the pedal at the right height, works good for me

I don’t know that that means. It sounds like something is wrong.

I Bought the (37?) inch cable instead of the (42?) inch one (listed for my truck) , it fits and connected everything good, but the actual cable was too long, and the pedal sat too low.

Basically I'm just saying don't be too picky, get a cable, and with maybe a little adjustment, it'll work.

I think you have the numbers reversed. It sounds like you bought a cable that was too long and then the pedal doesn’t do anything until there is tension on the cable.

The plastic is irrelevant. The clip locks the cable into the gas pedal and the spring on the throttle body end keeps tension on the cable.

Anyway, to the OP, remove and measure your old cable before ordering.

Exactly, it doesn't really matter what you get, mine all locks in, but the CABLE is too long, and the pedal sits too far down without a spacer.

Yes, op should measure though. I didn't, but I wasn't going to go through the trouble of returning and buying another cable.
