Are we susposed to get a dummy plug kit for the tailgate harness truck side when removing the tailgate? I have two large connectors that go to the gate. I had a kit that came in the glove box for my 2019 Lariet. But nothing for this 2024 xlt with just backup camera and power unlock/lock gate latch.
Can't see exposing the truck side to open road mud, salt etc when the gate is off.
My 2024 F350 XLT with the 360-degree camera system came with a dummy plug kit. Tailgate off, truck camper loaded.
My 2019 Lariet with 360 also had the plugs but this one nothing. 2 large ones from the gate. One for power lock/release and backup camera.
I'll have to put a zip lock bag and zip tie them to keep them clean for now
My 2024 Lariat Ultimate CCSB came with a Tailgate Delete Cap Kit PC3T 15A562 GB4WA. FYI it’s been determined these kits are missing some wiring pins on the large jumper harness, which grounds the tailgate ajar sensors.
Wow, so no tailgate ajar warning? If not, could you post a pic of the black end connector wires, on that large jumper harness? Mine looks like the pic below. Perhaps a shot if the Ford part number on that jumper, would be super helpful!!

Thanks for your assistance.
did you figure this out ? The harness that came with my 2024 f350 does not work , I keep getting the tailgate ajar warning ⚠️

Check out this thread on the Tremor forum. The issue is the Ford tailgate delete wiring harness is missing some grounding connection's. There are a bunch of pics and links to premade wiring pins to solution. It’s pretty easy.
