Im working on my 2012 F550 that had a circuit failure inside of the BCM. I've got the paid extended license of Forscan and I believe I have my replacement BCM programed correctly. I currently have my as built data loaded into the BCM, I've programed my PATS keys and the vehicle does start and run. My issue is the dome lights are still flashing when the ignition is on. What am I missing? Thanks for any help.
When you open Forscan, looking under the BCM module information, are there any errors being posted? You have offloaded, updated the module and set your keys, because of the many connections, look to make sure they are all seated...
im looking to program a used bcm in my 2011. I have forscan but not sure how to do it. Would you mind letting me know how it was done?
Unfortunately this is not a simple task. You have to learn about your model year and if PATS is in the BCM and how you will program keys. Then you need to confirm the firmware in the new unit is the same and if not you need to flash new firmware. Then load asbuilt data.
This is NOT a step by step and I have never done this. Search and read the numerous posts on the Forscan forum regarding BCM replacement. It will take some time to sort through the posts but you need all the help you can get.
****Edit *****
I thought your post was the original. Yes, we need to know how the OP replaced the BCM. The flashing dome light is an error in the configuration and I have seen several posts about this. 'll see if I can find the solution on the Forscan forum.
The dome light flash appears to be related to key programming. Check the Forscan forum for similar problems and solutions. Several posters there are PATS/keys experts. https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic....e+light#p88135
